Theme: Sports of Nature

“Back in the 17th century, natural historians used to talk about sports of nature, tricks or diversions like fish fossils on mountaintops. Things out of place or not what they seemed. This issue has lots of ‘sports.’ We have animals formed by the earth; one woman wanting a child from the trickster, another traveling a deceptively easy road from loss, and a third touched and tricked by folks from another world; a man/boy facing himself in different form; a genius hiding his Angel’s co-evolution; and a couple of strangers coping with intersecting worlds and hidden dangers.”
